Wrightsville Beach fishing report

Captain Matt Wirt of Reel Adventure Charters send along these pics of recent action up in Wrightsville Beach.

Captain Matt reports that the flounder and trout bite has been steady, and the red drum are present but spread wrong due to the higher water temps.

Live bait and Berkley Gulp! and DOA shrimp have been producing well.

Nearshore, Captain Matt is catching Spanish, while offshore the action is dolphin (mahi-mahi), cobia, amberjacks and some kings.

Captain Matt anticipates shark season will soon be underway.
